NATIONAL SAFETY COURSE | FIREARMS
NATIONAL SAFETY COURSE IN THE HANDLING OF FIREARMS AND INTRODUCTION TO HUNTING WITH FIREARMS
DATES : June 18 and 19, 2016
PLACE : Odanak Community Center

TIME : The classes will start at 8:00 AM
A maximum of 30 participants is admitted to this course.
Free for Odanak band members*.
The course can be payed in advance if you do it before Friday, June 17, at noon:
PAYMENT METHODS :
- In cash by presenting you at the Abenakis of Odanak Council;
- By sending a money order or a certified check (on behalf of the Abenakis of Odanak Council) at 104 Sibosis Street, Odanak, (Qc) J0G 1H0
*A member of the Odanak Band registered to the course that doesn’t show up and that doesn’t inform us before June 18, at 8:00 AM, will have to pay for the next inscription to these courses.

North American Indigenous Games
The First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) is responsible for the Eastern Door and the North (EDN) team that will represent the Quebec region at the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Toronto July 16–23, 2017. The FNQLHSSC is currently putting together the EDN team and is looking for coaches to recruit, accompany, and coach the athletes aged 12 to 19 who will represent the team.
A number of coaches are being sought. We invite potential coaches to apply by April 18, 2016 at 4 p.m.

Descheneaux’s case | Withdrawal of appeal
BREAKING NEWS – The Attorney General of Canada withdrew his inscription in appeal in the Descheneaux’s case, filed on September 2nd, 2015 at the Superior Court of Québec.

On March 12 and 13, 2016, it will be possible for you to attend at the National Safety Course in the handling of firearms and Introduction to hunting with firearms.
